Bonnevoie-Sud: The center of the Bonnevoie district has always been in Bonnevoie-Sud, it was renovated in the 1990s according to an urban planning concept.
The origin of Bonnevoie goes back to a monastery of Cistercian nuns founded in the 12th century and dissolved towards the end of the 18th century. The district developed very quickly after the connection to the Grand Duchy’s railway network and the opening of the first station in 1859. In 1888 the first parish church could be consecrated, which was destroyed by bombardments from the second World War.
